Medical Aesthetics & Loving the Skin You’re In

Ageing is a privilege. To be able to grow older, hopefully wiser, and one day into grandparents is truly a gift. Taking care of our health becomes evident on our skin. My role is to share with you the many medical aesthetics offerings that are new at Mind Body Soul Integrative that can help enliven, invigorate, and rejuvenate the skin that you are in.

We offer Neuromodulator injections as well as hydrating Dermal Filler/Hyaluronic Acid injections, to restore volume that has been lost, rejuvenate lips, and reduce wrinkles. Many patients want to know what the difference is between the two offerings, and I would like this opportunity to explain to you.

There Are Many Different Neuromodulator Brands, Such as Dysport, Botox, Nuceiva, and Juveau.

Like “Kleenex”, “Botox” has become the most popular name, but they all have the same function- to inactivate the nerve that will in turn immobilize the muscle that is causing wrinkling.

Erasing fine lines is an art, and “Less is More” has never been more true. I often tell my medical aesthetics patients to begin with less, wait until the injections are fully active, and then return in 7-10 days and put in more if you haven’t achieved the look you want.

They leave feeling happier, overall their forehead is not as heavy, and they are able to make expressions without making wrinkles. Though men often require quite a bit more “brotox” as their lines are deeper and their muscles are bigger; we still fall on the side of less is more.

Regardless of your gender, if you want to achieve that chiselled or artistically rounded, wrinkle-free face that withstands the test of time: give yourself the gift of erasing fine lines with neuromodulator injections. The cost is 10$/unit, and the average number of units required ranges between 20-80, depending on area of the face and amount of wrinkle reduction you seek to achieve.

Dermal Filler Injections, Also Known as Hyaluronic Acid Injections, Are Used to Restore Lost Volume.

As we age, the juicy fat pads that are in our faces as babies reduce in size, bone is resorbed, and the face structure essentially changes from being weighed down by gravity. The beauty of hyaluronic acid injections is that they each have different strengths and structures to restore that lost volume. Some can replace bone, some are just to add volume, and some are to add hydration; all resulting in an overall look of restored health, youth, and rejuvenation.

Beauty is from the inside out, hence why it is so important to work on your physical, emotional and spiritual health. As Naturopathic Doctors and medical aesthetics injectors, our goal is to guide you into achieving optimal health from the inside out. At Mind Body Soul, we also have skin care products that support your skin with paraben-free, medical-grade products from AlumierMD. Ranging from skin care for rosacea, acne, and dry skin to protective sunscreen products. Be sure to talk to your Doctor about what they are using for your skin and what is best for your metabolism.
