Versatile Everyday Salad Dressing
Spice up your salads with a new twist. This salad dressing packs an extra punch of garlic for heart health and livens up your taste buds. Make ahead of time and pair with some fresh spinach, arugula or spring greens, a handful of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and dried cranberries. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- ¾ cup extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons balsamic Vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 small lemon, juiced
- 6 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 to 3 tablespoons minced red bell pepper
- 2 to 3 tablespoons minced fresh herbs
- ¾ teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Place all ingredients into a glass jar, cover and shake (you may also use a blender to create a creamy version). Taste and adjust salt and seasonings if necessary. Store in a sealed glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Yield 1½ cups of salad dressing.
